Salon Owner- Master Stylist
Alli, the proprietor of Salt and Scissors, has proudly received the esteemed Readers’ Choice “Best Salon” award for thee consecutive years since assuming ownership. After devoting considerable time to establishing a loyal clientele of the island, Alli made the bold decision to establish her own business, driven by her desire to create a welcoming space that enhances both the appearance we well-being of her clients. With a vision of a salon that exudes a cozy atmosphere akin to home, surrounded with a close-knit group of friends. During her free time, Alli engages in a variety of activities that reflect her adventurous spirit. She dedicates herself to fostering dogs, searching for fossils, and spearfishing. Though Alli is currently unable to take on new clients, she has assembled a highly skilled team of hair stylist who are dedicated to providing you with the finest experience on the island.
Christine
Introducing Christine Mullen, the latest addition to the esteemed team at Salt and Scissors. Although new to our salon, Christine is no stranger to the world of hair styling, boasting over 15 years of experience. She has honed her skills as a master of balayage and all things blonde. Additionally, Christie possesses a special talent for creating a welcoming atmosphere for children in the salon, ensuring their comfort while delivering meticulous haircuts. As a native of the island, Christine can often be found relishing in vegetarian delights at local restaurants or enjoying the serene view of passing boats from the comfort of her home accompanied by her beloved furry companion, Bailey.
Lauren
Lauren is an experienced master stylist with 16 years of behind-the-chair experience. She has had the privilege of working in various locations across the United States, including Seattle and Connecticut. This exposure to different states has allowed her to acquire new techniques and gain expertise in working with a variety of hair products. During her time in Connecticut, Lauren obtained certification as a Master Colorist from Goldwell, showcasing her commitment to continuous professional development. She is a passionate stylist and takes great pleasure in assisting her clients in achieving healthy and naturally enhanced color services, all while ensuring every client receives the perfect tailored haircut. Outside of work, Lauren enjoys spending quality time with her loved ones, often hosting poolside gatherings with her family and friends. Additionally, she loves traveling with her husband and their beloved pet Walter.
Jenny
Master Stylist
Jenny is a highly skilled hairstylist with a wealth of experience spanning over thirty years, starting from 1991. Originally from the charming state of Michigan, she made the bold choice to relocate to Holmes Beach approximately three years ago. Whether she is strolling leisurely around the island or basking in the beauty of the picturesque Gulf beaches, Jenny can often be found enjoying the local scenery. With her expertise, Jenny has developed a specialization in the art of performing highlights and delivering exceptional all over color services.
Amanda
Amanda’s story is not unlike many who come to the Gulf Coast of Florida. She originally came here on vacation and decided this is where she wanted to be. After a few months, she packed her bags and made the move back to AMI, where she found her home at Salt & Scissors. While Amanda may be the youngest on the team, her knowledge and precision in her work shines through. She brings years of experience and a passion for her craft to provide clients with stunning results, whether you need blonding, all-over color, or hand-tied extensions. When not on the island, she enjoys cooking delicious meals and DIY projects to her new home along with her two furry companions. It’s clear Amanda has found her place in our Gulf Coast community.
Cheri
Aesthetician - Nail Technician
Cheri moved from South Africa eight years ago, after traveling to 44 countries demonstrating her commitment to her career. She has achieved an International Cidesco certification, which has elevated her professional capabilities. In addition to her experience on high-end cruise ships and yacht’s, Cheri possesses the expertise to provide top-notch services to her clients. With a remarkable 25 years of experience, you can trust that she will effectively address any issues related to back pain as well as providing exquisite facial treatments. Outside of work, Cheri enjoys spending her time in her garden with her beloved dogs. She is also skilled in kickboxing, making her a formidable opponent of any pests that may invade her garden.

Over the past four years, Diana has dedicated her efforts to perfecting her skills as a massage therapist, specializing primarily in reflexology. Through her commitment to ongoing education, Diana ensures that her clients receive not only exceptional service but also the most up-to-date techniques.
